Humanolab

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Humanolab is an AI health coach: it connects to your wearables, labs and meals, and turns them into one small step a day. To do that we need to process personal information, including health information. This policy explains, in plain language, what we process, why, who we share it with and how to exercise your rights.

In short: your data is yours; we never sell it; we only read what you allow; and you can take it with you or delete it at any time.

This policy is governed by Colombian law (Law 1581 of 2012 and its regulations). This English version is a translation; if there is any difference, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Who is responsible

  • Responsible party: Humanolab.
  • Registered office: Bogotá, Colombia.
  • Privacy contact: legal@humanolab.ai.

2. Scope

This policy covers data we process through humanolab.ai, the Humanolab mobile app (including the early-access program), the emails we send you and our support channels.

3. What we process

  • Contact and account data: email, name, language, country and city, and your app preferences.
  • Answers you give us: for example what you want help with, which wearable you use and what brought you to Humanolab, plus anything you write to us by email.
  • Health and wellness data (sensitive data), only if you choose to share it: steps, activity and workouts; sleep and sleep stages; heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV) and VO₂ max; weight and body composition; menstrual cycle; hydration, energy, mood and symptoms; medications and supplements with their reminders; and lab results you upload.
  • Meals: the photos and descriptions of your meals and the nutrition estimate we generate from them.
  • Connected-device data: what you authorize from Apple Health (HealthKit) or compatible wearables such as Apple Watch, Oura and others.
  • Conversations with your coach: the questions you ask and the answers generated.
  • Technical and usage data: device type, app version, IP address, approximate country, usage and error logs, and cookie or similar data on the website.

You don't need a wearable to use Humanolab. Health data is optional, and you can disconnect each source at any time.

4. How we use it

  • To provide the service: calculate your score and your nutrition, sleep and movement rings, show your trends and suggest one step a day.
  • To personalize your coach's answers and recommendations using your own data.
  • To read and explain lab results you upload.
  • To send the reminders, notes and weekly summary you turn on.
  • To run early access: send your welcome email, tell you when your spot opens and ask for your feedback.
  • To keep Humanolab secure, improve its quality and fix errors.
  • To meet legal obligations and respond to your requests.

We never sell your data or use it for advertising. Data from Apple Health is never used for advertising or shared with third parties for that purpose, and it is not used to train third-party AI models.

5. Artificial intelligence

Your coach runs on AI models from specialized providers. To answer you, we send those models only the information they need, without your name or email. We contractually require those providers not to train their models on your data.

The rules your coach follows come from protocols reviewed by our medical team; the AI explains and personalizes, but it doesn't diagnose. AI processing and conversation memory have separate consents that you can switch on or off in the app.

6. Sensitive data and consent

Health data is sensitive data. We only process it with your prior, express and informed consent, which you give when you connect a source or log data in the app. You're not required to consent to sensitive data processing, and saying no doesn't stop you from using features that don't need it.

Humanolab is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

7. Who we share it with

Only with providers that help us run the service, under confidentiality and security agreements, and only for those purposes:

  • Infrastructure and hosting: cloud servers and databases (for example Vercel and Supabase).
  • Transactional email (for example Resend).
  • AI models (for example OpenAI and Anthropic), under the conditions in section 5.
  • Analytics and error-diagnostics tools, with technical and usage data.
  • Authorities, when a law or court order requires it.

If you connect Apple Health, Apple applies its own policies to data stored on your device.

8. International transfers

Some providers are in the United States or other countries. By accepting this policy you authorize transferring your data to those countries, which we do with appropriate security and confidentiality safeguards under Colombian law.

9. Your rights

  • Access, update and correct your data.
  • Request proof of the consent you gave us.
  • Be told how we use your data.
  • Withdraw consent and ask us to delete your data.
  • Export your data from the app.
  • Access your data free of charge.
  • File a complaint with Colombia's data protection authority (Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio) after first contacting us.

10. How to exercise them

Export or delete your information from the app settings, or email legal@humanolab.ai with your name, your account email and your request.

We answer inquiries within ten (10) business days and complaints within fifteen (15) business days, extendable as the law allows, in which case we'll tell you why.

11. Security and retention

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and by separating personal details before sending anything to AI models. No system is perfect, but we work to keep your data safe.

We keep your data while you have an account or as long as needed for the purposes above. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data, except what we must keep by law.

12. Cookies

The website uses technical cookies, for example to remember your language, and may use analytics cookies to understand how it is used. You can block them in your browser.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email before they apply. This version is effective from the date above.
